As Claude just suggested, few winemakers speak english.
Only wine merchants such as Jadot, Drouhin, Latour have employees who speak foreign languages, not only English but also German or Dutch for instance.
If you are interested in winemakers who have a wide range of wines, I think you should contact persons such as Alex Gambal (who spent a few time in the US) or may be Frédéric MAGNIEN in Morey-Saint-Denis

Don't forget to take an appointment. There will be few people who will accept to spend many hours without being informed before. This is the rule in Burgundy but there are very rare exceptions.
Concerning the visit of the vineyard, I don't think that winemakers have the appropriate organization. Actually, it means that they would have to drive you out to their vineyards that are often scattered.
But you could always asked while taking the appointment.
Nevertheless, I wish you will have the desired answer.
